St. Mark's Lutheran Summer Camps

All camps are from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Eligibility: Kindergarten – 6th grade

Week 1: May 28 - May 31 (No camp Monday, May 27) (Science)
Have you ever wanted to be a scientist? Come and enjoy a week of exploring while completing different experiments using Jello, eggs, vinegar and so much more! You get your own scientist lab coat, too.

Week 2: June 3-7 (9:00 a.m. - Noon) (VBS)
Everyone who registers for camp this week will automatically be enrolled in VBS Scuba! Please enter "1" in the "Quantity" field.


Week 3: June 10-14 (Art)
Do you love to create your own crafts and art projects? We will have Art Dog, a local art shop, coming to help you create a piece of beautiful pottery. If this sounds like a blast to you then, come out for this camp while making amazing creative art projects!

Week 4: June 17-21 (Plants)
Come and learn about the parts of plants and what plants need to survive. Learn how to build your very own terrarium using an empty liter soda bottle to take home! We will pour paint on flower pots to create beautiful designs on the pots. After they dry we will plant some lovely plants in them for you to take home and care for them.

Week 5: June 24-28 (Bugs/Insects)
Come out to explore and learn about bugs and insects that fly or crawl. We will make several crafts like cardboard caterpillars, stained glass butterflies, egg cup ants and many more!


Week 6: July 1-5 (No camp Thursday, July 4) (Author, Author)
If you like reading books, then this camp is for you! We will explore many authors and their books, including, Patricia Polacco – My Rotten Red Headed Older Brother, Tomie de Paola – The Popcorn Book, Judith Viorst – Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Rob Scotton – Secret Agent Splat!, Judy Schachner – Skippy Jon Jones and the Big Bones, David Shannon – David Gets in Trouble, Sandra Markle – What if you had Animal Teeth and so many more! There will be activities involving books. On Friday you can come to camp dressed as your favorite author or your favorite character from your favorite book.

Week 7: July 8-12 (Cooking)
Do you love to cook or want to learn? This week will be cooking many tasty treats each day! From using irons to make cheese quesadillas using biscuits to make pizza for lunch and having Chris Pancakes come flip pancakes to us and then eat what we catch for lunch.

Week 8: July 15-19 (Summer Olympics)Quantity
This summer is the year for the Paris Summer Olympics 2024! We will learn what events are held at the Summer Olympics and do some Olympic crafts, too. Come and participate in our Mini Olympics against other campers for fun!

Week 9: July 22-26 (Water/Sea)
Make a splash with us this week! We will have some fun playing with water; water balloons, slip n slide and other water games. We will also make some water animal crafts like our own Go Fish game, paint a fish with foil scales and even make a funny fishbowl snack. **All campers
